Sony Ericsson Address Book Enabler
The Mac OS X 10.4 'Tiger' Address Book application allows you to send and receive SMS messages and make and receive calls via a Bluetooth connection to your Sony Ericsson phone. Unfortunately, Address Book has not been updated to support any new Sony Ericsson phones since the K700 back in 2003.
The Sony Ericsson Address Book Enabler adds support for many new Sony Ericsson models.

The Address Book Enabler cannot be used if your Phone or Mac does not have Bluetooth connectivity.
Features
After enabling your Mac OS X 10.4.x Address Book the following features will be available via your phone:
- Send SMS text messages from Address Book (except P-series, see note below)
- Incoming SMS text messages will appear on your Macs screen
- Reply to incoming SMS text messages from your Mac
- Initiate calls to contacts in your Address Book
- Answer incoming calls
- Send incoming calls to voicemail
Please note:
SMS support is not available for the Pxxx Series phones, as these models do not have the required AT commands built-in.
Address Book does not support using your Mac as a Bluetooth headset. You will still need to pick up the phone to talk to callers.
Address Book does not save sent SMSs to the phone memory, or allow reading of messages from the phone.
System Requirements
- An Intel or PowerPC Mac running Apple Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.4.x with Address Book v4.0.x
Not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or above (see below)
- Apple supported Bluetooth hardware (internal module or D-Link DBT-120 USB Adapter).
- A supported Sony Ericsson mobile phone with Bluetooth connectivity.
Mac OS X 10.5 and above Compatibility
Unfortunately, Apple has completely removed all Bluetooth SMS and Call functionality from Address Book v4.1 in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and later. This means that our Address Book Enabler cannot work with Mac OS X 10.5. There is no workaround for this issue. The only hope is that Apple may re-instate the missing Bluetooth features in a future update.
Reset Address Book Pairing
If you have more than one phone supported by Address Book, currently Apple provides no way of changing the phone it is paired with. The Reset Address Book Pairing utility, also provided, allows you to easily reset the phone that Address Book is paired with so you can choose a different phone to handle your SMS and calls with.
