SOLVED! SE K800i / OSX 10.4.7 / "iSync cannot connect to this device"
Hi,
The iSync 2.3 Phone Plugins for K800i does not seem to work for me; I tried several times everything on the Troubleshooting Phone Plugins page including reinstalling the latest Mac OS X Combo Updater but iSync still can't use my phone...
The pairing went ok in Bluetooth preferences but once in iSync, when I do "Add Device" it detects it but the message is "iSync cannot connect to this device". I tried deleting the pairing on both the mac and the phone several times also and re-pairing but still without success.
FYI, I use a Bluetooth USB dongle but it worked fine with my K750 in the past.
My problem above does not comes from the plugin apparently. Instead I think it comes from my Bluetooth USB adapter which is a Belkin F8T012 and some compatibilty problems with Apple's bluetooth setup assistant.
It does pair with the phone and as I said I can't sync, but I can't browse the phone or send files either with Apple's Bluetooth assistant and this has nothing to do with the iSync plugin...
Even more strange, I can transfer files from and to the phone without problems with another Bluetooth app such as Nokia Collector.
I tried sending files with Apple's bluetooth setup assistant and my Belkin adapter without success on my PowerBook G3 Pismo and on my G4, both with OS X 10.4.7
I tried on an Intel iMac with built-in Bluetooth and it worked fine!
I'll try to find another USB adapter and post the results here. Note that I successfully used this adapter on the same computer with a K750i in the past however I can'try anymore since I don't have the phone.

Syncing appears to proceed fine via ISync 2.3 with the K800 Plugin v 0.5 but the only thing that's carried over to the phone from iCal is Tasks/To Do. I entered an appointment on the phone to test whether it would be copied to my laptop (MAcbook Pro) but it wasn't. BTW, I am not isyncing the address book, just the calendar. Any advice?

Yes. I've selected all four calendars I use. I also tried with one and it didn't work.

I have resolved the issue by resetting the device. Sorry for the trouble. Time to donate!! thanks for a great product.
