Using iSync on OS X 10.7 Lion
In OS X Lion Apple has discontinued iSync and removed it from the installer. If you upgrade from Mac OS X 10.6.x Snow Leopard to OS X 10.7 Lion, the iSync application will also be removed from your Mac.
SyncServices, the OS X framework that iSync uses to do its syncing, is deprecated in OS X Lion. This means that developers should not use it, and in some future OS X update it will be removed completely.
In Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.7.1, the iSync v3.1.2 application from Snow Leopard continues to work simply by copying the application back into the Applications folder, although doing so is unsupported.
In Mac OS X 10.7.2 (which introduced iCloud) you will need to turn off iCloud syncing for iSync v3.1.2 to be able to access contacts for syncing.
When Apple removes the SyncServices framework from OS X, iSync will stop working completely, and there is nothing we can do to avoid this. Also, there may be other issues that prevent syncing from working fully which cannot be fixed.
PLEASE NOTE:
Although it is possible to use our iSync Plugins with iSync v3.1.2 in OS X Lion 10.7, 10.7.1 & 10.7.2, you do so at your own risk, and neither Apple nor us can provide support for using iSync in OS X Lion.
