iSync Plugin SupportIf you have any problems with our iSync Plugins there's a few things you can try which will help. The tips listed below have solved 100% of all issues reported. Installation & Setup
Syncing issues after Setup Confirming System Requirements You must be running Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later with iSync 2.4 or later. These plugins will not run with any earlier versions of iSync. The iSync application must be located in the main Applications folder of your boot-up hard disk. You also need Apple supported Bluetooth hardware (see below) or a DCU-60 or DCU-65 USB cable for phones that support USB syncing. If your Mac doesn't have built-in Bluetooth hardware, please use a D-Link DBT-120 USB dongle, as this is the only one supported by Apple. Syncing via the DCU-60 or DCU-65 USB cable is only supported for some models. Non-Apple supported Bluetooth hardware may not be compatible. Apple only supports the internal Bluetooth modules supplied as standard with their Macs, or the D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Adapter. Some third-party USB Adapters are not fully compatible with the Mac (despite what they claim on the box). Pairing and File Transfers usually work ok, but syncing does not.
Other USB Adapters from other manufacturers may or may not work. If you have any definitive information on any not listed above, please let us know. The Phone Plugin installer will automatically install the plugin to the correct place on your hard disk. Please check in [Your Hard Disk]/Library/PhonePlugins for a folder called Feisar-XXXX.phoneplugin (where XXXX is the model of your phone, for instance Feisar-K510.phoneplugin) Error: "iSync 2.4 or later is required" This message means that the version of iSync you have installed is not new enough. You need to be running iSync 2.4 or later which was released as part of the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Update. If you are certain you have iSync 2.4 or later installed please read the next "iSync not found" section. The iSync application must be named "iSync" and should not be moved from its default location in the main Applications folder of your boot-up hard-disk. If you have moved or renamed the iSync application, please revert it back to its default name and location. Error: "iSync can't open because of a problem with a plug-in" This message appears if iSync support for the phone you are installing already exists. You can only have one plugin for each phone installed at any one time. This can occur in the following situations: 1) You have previously installed another iSync Plugin for the same phone from another source which is causing a conflict with ours. To resolve this:
2) You have made modifications to iSync in an attempt to add support for your phone. To resolve this you can do one of the following:
3) Apple has since added native support for your phone. To resolve this:
iSync does not open automatically during the Phone Setup There are two possible causes for this:

Tips for setting up a successful first sync From experience, we have found it is best to start with a completely empty phone. Attempting to merge existing data on the phone and the Mac isn't always successful. If you have existing contacts on the phone, transfer them to the Mac and import them into Address Book. Before your first sync, ensure your Address Book and iCal data is completely up-to-date, make a backup, then choose the Erase data on device then sync option from the For first sync: pop-up menu. For best results, don't try to sync the whole of your Address Book contacts to the phone. Create a group in Address Book with only the contacts you need on the phone in it. Then, in iSync, click the icon for your phone, and choose the group you made from the Contacts - Synchronize: pop-up menu. Syncing issues after setup Please see our general iSync Tips page. Sending SMS, making and receiving calls with Apple Address Book The iSync Phone Plugins are not intended to enable Address Book support for your phone. iSync and Address Book are two independent applications. If you are using Mac OS X 10.4.x you can enable Call and SMS functions in Address Book for your phone, by clicking here. Removing/uninstalling the Phone Plugins
